Books open doors. They shake our thinking. They help us hold more than one perspective at a time.
I’ll be sharing “What I’m reading This Week” in each episode. Because knowledge is power—and I’m a book-loving mama on a mission to fill our shelves with wisdom, wonder, and wild ideas. I’m not just going to recommend books—I’ll be sharing the ones that have shifted my thinking, shaped my parenting, and sparked the best late-night conversations. From deep, perspective-altering reads to 5-star books I’ve read aloud to my kids, every book I mention has earned its place here.
If I wouldn’t pass it down, I won’t pass it on.
Honestly, one of my favorite ways to find books is thrifting. I keep a running list of titles we want to add to our family library, and I love the thrill of the hunt—especially in consignment shops and used bookstores. Where we live, there’s even an association that publishes a Roadmap of independent booksellers across several states. It’s become a fun way for our family to explore new towns, build our library, and support small, local business owners along the way. Between that and regular trips to the library—that’s always where I start.
If you’re looking to purchase new (or just can’t wait), here are a few other ways to find the books:
